Samhain, midpoint between the Autumn Equinox and the Winter Solstice, marks the end of the harvest season. The Irish word, "Samhain," means the month of November, and October 31 to November 1 was traditionally considered the Celtic New Year's Eve, the third and final harvest festival. In the days leading to the first day of Winter, which is the shortest day and longest night of the year, The Celtic Society presents a host of intimate uplifting concerts that will bring us all together in joyous harmony. Irish dancing and Celtic music making abound in November!
Bill Coulter and Edwin Huizinga, collectively known as Fire & Grace, have a new CD which they are celebrating with a lively release concert at Wind River Studio in Happy Valley on Sunday, November 5th at 3:00 pm. Don't miss The Great Dickens Christmas Fair weekends November 18 thru December 17 at the Cow Palace Exhibition Halls, Daly City! And be sure to mark your calendar for the Bay Area's Robert Burns Suppers this January - Both Loch Lomond Celtic Society and the South Bay Scottish Society will honor Scotland's immortal Bard.

The 2017 tour features special guest singer Niamh Farrell, a Sligo vocalist who has toured with UK singer/songwriting star David Gray. Niamh teams up with legendary West Kerry singer Séamus Begley, famous for his charming wit and stunning voice.
